The founding team of CHRONUS Robotics are members of the same family. We are engineers and designers with experience in a variety of fields, including motorsport technology, civil engineering and computer science. Over 25 years of experience in motorsport gave us the opportunity to get familiar with the most cutting-edge technologies, learn to work together as a unit and be passionate about reaching goals.
Backstory
The idea to create an innovative mobility device was inspired by motorsport. Over the years, we have seen many people using wheelchairs in motorsport. Most of them use manual wheelchairs - even those from Formula One teams working with the most advanced technologies in the world. This led to the idea of creating a personal mobility robot that would allow people to communicate freely and work with dignity. A decade later, the concept of CHRONUS KIM1 became a reality. Later, a more advanced model was named Kim-e.
Why Chronus?
Chronus is the ancient name of the European Sarmatia River, which flows into the Sarmatian Sea, already depicted on Ptolemy's (Claudius Ptolemaeus (c. AD 100 – c. 170)) maps. This river still flows through our locality today.
