The team of CHRONUS Robotics is also a family. We are experienced engineers and designers who have graduated from different universities in different fields including motorsport technology, civil engineering, and computer science. We have also been a racing team for over 25 years. The experience in motorsport gave us the opportunity to get familiar with the most cutting-edge technologies, learn to work together as a unit, and be passionate about reaching goals. That is what makes CHRONUS Robotics a strong and versatile team.
The idea to create CHRONUS KIM1 was inspired by motorsport. Over the years, we have seen many people using wheelchairs in motorsport. Most of them use manual wheelchairs - even those from Formula One teams working with the most advanced technologies in the world. This led to the idea of creating an innovative mobility device that would allow them to communicate freely and work with dignity. A decade later, the concept of CHRONUS KIM1 became a reality.
Chronus is the ancient name of the European Sarmatia River, which flows into the Sarmatian Sea, already depicted on Ptolemy's (Claudius Ptolemaeus (c. AD 100 – c. 170)) maps. This river still flows through our locality today.
